Could I BE any more distracted?

I keep meaning to post here and then I find something else to do instead... you know, like change a diaper (awesome!) or eat some cheese (don't worry I totally wash my hands after I changed that diaper... I think...) or spin in circles and try to do the Hot Dog dance while keeping my boobs from bouncing out of my old stretched out nursing bra.  I know I am like the epitome of hotness! Try not to be jealous, OK!

Really though I have been just absorbed in watching my girls. Avery is learning so fast I find myself just staring and watching her observing things and figuring out how things work. Her vocabulary is growing like crazy with both good words and bad... Daddy likes to say fuck a little too much and Mommy has a tendency to yell out DAMN IT HUMPHREY!! When our precious little kitty tries to tackle my legs while I am attempting to go up or down the stairs... (luckily she hasn't picked up my dear husbands other favorite phrase... Douche bag...)

Isabel also keeps me busy with her fun game of squirming to get away and whacking at my face while screeching and then screaming and trying to climb back onto me the second I put her down... Also, shoving random things into her mouth and then crawling away at full speed. She will be 10 months on the 21st and I have a feeling she will be walking by then. She is growing up too fast! It is making my baby fever even worse!! Of course my husband can't wait to get snipped...

Im a total pro at slacking off...

Has it really been almost 2 months since I last posted on this here thingy... Apparently I've been busy (or easily distracted... hey glitter!)

Anyways, April was Avery's "gymnastics" class. Really they just called it Wiggly Giggly... and I wouldn't really call it a class, so much as it was a congregation of three 19 month old girls trying to do 50 things at once. Oh look a trampo... a ball...a pony...a ball...trampoline...bean BALL!!!

Then came May and Avery's Terrific Two's mommy & me preschool class. Basically herding cats around a class room full of toys and paint and glue and GLITTER!!! (yay sparkly!!) what was I talking about...

Oh, right... So, my collection of baby art projects has begun. Avery seemed to enjoy painting and she definitely LOVES to sprinkle glitter on things, but there was just too much stuff there to distract her so she never sat to paint longer than 30 seconds... Or maybe that is all the time she needed to create her masterpieces.

Avery definitely has a love of music. One of the biggest distractions in the class room was the bin full of cymbals, drums, and bells. She sure can shake a mean bell, we work on that a lot at home because Jingle Bells is one of the few songs I know... What? You don't sing carols all year? It's no secret I love Christmas songs... my ringtone is Dean Martin - Marshmallow World, but I digress...

So, Avery loves music, I love Avery, I need to find a music class for her.

Let's move on...

Isabel of course comes to all of Avery's classes. She isn't much of a participator, but I don't want to push her... She is as cute as ever and can roll from back to tummy and then whine until I roll her back over. She is a good napper, and pretty chill most of the time.

Also, she is a master at spitting up as soon as I put her in her car seat. There is almost nothing I hate more than spit up in a buckle... Oh well, cute people can apparently throw up and poop on you and still be cute.

Totally has enough hair for clippies!!!

We will be in Florida next week. Taking the girls to visit the Grandparents (my Mommy and Daddy) and most importantly FRIZZY (my dog). The Frizz is15 as of April 11th, and may not be with us much longer, so... yeah. That's all I have to say about that right now...

Here is Avery with the best dog ever last May.

And here she is now...

She is getting so big!!

A Purple Kind of Day

A year ago today the world lost a smile. Lost a giggle, lost precious curls, lost bright blue eyes with a golden sparkle. A year ago we lost a little girl, Madeline Spohr. Lives are forever changed. Nothing will take the pain away, but still today we wore purple, because we will never forget her, even though we never met.

I treasure every moment I have with my girls. I wish Annabel could know her big sister the way Isabel gets to know Avery.

Maddie you are loved always, never forgotten.

And then there were two

So I whipped up another hat , just a bit larger. After all the fuss over trying to steal her sisters hat you would think Avery would be quite pleased to have her own....
Mean Mommy held her down to get a picture! Life is tough

Sisters are awesome

I am so in love with my girls, it is so awesome to see them together.
Avery loves to share her toys and she tries to share her food and drinks with Isabel. She is such a sweet big sister.

A new hat

I just made this hat for Isabel, and now I have to make one for Avery. She took it right off her sister and tried to put it on, but it doesn't fit her. That caused a bit of a fit. She loves her hats!

I made the little flower so people would know she is a girl... but I'm sure people will still ask how old my son is...

I just need to attach a button to hold the strap under her chin

I love easy projects! This only took me a day. Now I just need to try and finish the other hat I've been working on for months and Avery's sweater still needs sleeves...
